This level is one of the hardest levels for any student to write and teach essays. This level also requires a great deal of skills that are completely different from what they learned in the first two levels.For instance, in elementary school students learn how to structure their assignments in order to show that they understand the topic in the first place. Then they learn how to format an essay using the grammar rules they learned in elementary school. At this level, students can usually use that material in any way they want. Their skills at this level are so advanced, that they are very good at it.The problem with this level of writing is that they have no idea what to do when they get to the high school level. When they are faced with the challenge of writing and teaching an essay, they often have problems.For example, the fir st level of writing is just like any other teacher who uses a textbook, except instead of just reading what someone wrote, they are presented with a lesson plan that has been developed and validated by the past president of the class. And the lesson plan should include a study guide. That is how they were taught in school.But when students are asked to just read the lesson plan, or to ask their own questions, they may find themselves lacking skills in critical thinking, reading and understanding of academic advice. If you read an essay like this and see that it lacks skill, you will realize that they lack skills that they learned in first grade. They have not grown since they were small children.So the key for them to make progress and make it through this level of writing is to be able to use the new knowledge they have gained. That means you need to get them to use the skill they learned in first grade.The second level of writing at the high school or college is not quite as hard as the first level, but it does require that they understand their own ability to express themselves. You need to teach them to use their own writing skills and to express themselves clearly and concisely.
